Razing Storm
Hey everybody. Sorry about not updating yesterday. Unless you've been living under a rock, you might have heard about the blizzard that hit the north east this past weekend. Well, right where I live was hit the most with over 26 inches of snow. Back in 1994 there was a blizzard and the snow was up to my waist then I went out on Sunday and it was like that all over again. Thank goodness we've got a gas powered snow thrower, even with that it was still a pain in the ass digging out.
Todays video is Namco/Bandai's Razing Storm. The game came out in 2008 and the Dave and Busters got it a few months ago. The game is pretty much Gears of War meets Crisis Zone. Everything in the game can be destroyed with your machine gun and there's tons of smart enemy AI and a ton of bosses to shoot down. The video clocks in at a little over nine minutes, but keep in mind, this is only part of the first level of the game. It's really long and gets harder as you progress, so it'll suck some quarters (Or take some points off your card) to beat it.
2600 has told me that he has some videos in the works, including a video of me playing Blazing Angles from the last Arcade Hunters episode as well as another on top of the other Arcade Hunter episodes. We're not sure what's going to happen during the Christmas break, but I recently got an EasyCAP to get video footage. If you'd like to see the tests, you can check the Youtube or Blip page, I left both of them up. I can only record up to S-Video so no HD 360 game reviews, but it'll make it so much easier to make Arcade Home Port Review videos from now on.
Well, that's it for today, be sure to check back later on this week for another update.

Really enjoying your videos and posts from your websites and youtube. Watching them is re-energizing my arcade days, as I am 32 and its been awhile. Those are fond memories from back in the day. If you could do a Ikari Warriors and Heavy Barrel piece if you would...next time you are in Funspot. Keep up the good work!

FunSpot has both games as well as Gorilla War. If their working well we'll try to get some videos of them in action. As you know how the joysticks work and they've been there since the 80's so their beat up. The Gorilla War machine is really bad and has a stuck button that might have been from some kid dropping soda on it years ago. So if one of the three of em' works, I'll be sure to get a video of it.
ReplyDeleteSounds good Nick. With the unique controllers I figured they would be on the worn out side. Thanks in advance!
