Daigo Wins EVO 2010

Well, if you've been reading our Twitter page this weekend, I was glued to my desk chair watching EVO 2010 from Las Vegas this weekend. It was another amazing year with great matches, astounding upsets and some new faces I haven't seen. Daigo won the show again beating out Ricky Ortiz in a best 3 out of 5 match. The biggest news was of a player from Taiwan known as Gamerbee. What was interesting about him was he specialized in using Adon, a character many consider to be one of the worst in the game. Gamerbee was able to make it to the top eight beating out US National champ, Justin Wong.

This September EVO will be teaming up with Japanese tournament holders, GodsGarden for a brand new EVO Japan tournament this September. It's going to be one hell of a show considering that EVO lets players change their characters, unlike many Japanese tournaments that have it where you have to use the one character you pick. So getting to see the Japanese players being able to mix up their selections against international competitors is going to be a sight to behold.

Speaking of Super Street Fighter IV, producer Ono-San has been speaking up about the new arcade version. Over on his Twitter account he posted a picture of the game running on a Taito Viewex machine with Chun-Li's second Ultra. He also spoke to Andriasang.com about re-balancing the game and maybe possibilities of new moves and characters.

Ono-San Interview

Well, that's it for today. Be sure to check back tomorrow for a new viewer submission from Andrew!
