Discs of Tron Review

Before I start the blog post for this, I'd like to thank 2600 for uploading this. He's been really sick and he spent some of the time he had cutting this up and uploading it for you.

Here's our review of the Environmental version of Discs of Tron from Bally/Midway from 1983. This is the second of the two Tron games. This disc combat game was supposed to be in the original arcade game but was dropped. Thankfully it was given it's own game rather then a short minigame. I for one love Discs more then Tron just because it feels like a full game then just four minigames over and over again. Environmental cabs of Discs of Tron are VERY hard to come by. Most of them were converted into regular machines just due to the huge size of the machine. If you do find a working machine, you're in for a treat. Not only does it have a seat but also has speakers behind you almost like surround sound.

The Tron love doesn't stop. While we were at Funspot we did get a review of the original Tron arcade game and we'll have that review for you in the coming months. So thank you very much for watching and for those of you in the US, have a very Happy 4th of July!
