Sarge's Friday Wrap Up

Well here we are with the end of the work week and into the weekend! Sarge here, with a couple of updates to close out the work week.

Talk of Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition DLC has been circulating around the net. Consoletech.net released a trailer that was possibly taken from the Capcom Captivate Event. It looks like that this download will feature newer replay modes and the four arcade released characters for both Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Initially, producer Yoshinori Ono spoke with Famitsu Magazine and stated that the arcade edition of Super Street Fighter IV would not be released on consoles. As of recent, he has updated his statement via Twitter that the DLC will be released after the 3DS version of Super Street Fighter IV. As of now, there's no word on the street date as of yet.

In other fighter news: Machinima.com will be releasing a web short series based on the Mortal Kombat franchise titled Mortal Kombat:Legacy. The live action episodes will debut on the site on April 12, seven days before the new version of Mortal Kombat hits consoles.

Speaking of live adaptions of video games, how many people out there picked up the Tron:Legacy special edition set this past week? General word around is that the special edition version of the film is aesthetically pleasing to the eye (with a bundled identity disc case), but quite a pain in the ass with regards to the way it holds every disc. I think I'll be sticking to the standard disc combo.
