The Simpsons Arcade Game Comes Home!

Finally after 21years of waiting Konami has finally released The Simpsons Arcade game on home consoles! The game is now up for download on Xbox Live Arcade for 800 Space Bucks or 10 dollars. The game doesn't come out until the 7th for PlayStation 3, but if you sign up now for the PlayStation Plus service you'll get the game FOR FREE! (Final Fantasy V is also being offered for free this month on PlayStation Plus)

I have downloaded the game and played through it and the game is left intact. If you guys watched our video review of X-Men Arcade then you'll know what to expect. You not only get the American version of the game, but you also can unlock the Japanese version that adds in a screen clearing bomb, more powerful weapons and when you collect power ups when your energy meter is full you can gain more energy for a second life bar. They have it that you can play a survival mode with one life and an achievement challenge is to get to the bosses on the third stage on the Japanese version. I've yet to do it, but I'm getting close. It's all about Marge's vacuum cleaner. There's also more unlockable goodies that you have to pretty much complete the game with all four characters to unlock all the music, sound test and artwork stuff.

I hope you guys will check this out. Lets hope that it sells well and Konami will release more of their classics like Bucky O'Hare, Sunset Riders (which was supposed to come out on Game Room) and for the love of god, let them release the REAL Turtles in Time, not this ReShelled BS. Same goes for Capcom. After Final Fight Double Impact came out they stopped with the classic beat em' ups. Even if they don't want to go for the comic book and movie characters, there's always Captain Commando, Armored Warriors and Battle Circuit. Come on guys! Make it happen!
