Bally's KISS Pinball Machine

Here's a special weekend update for you! Since we'll be away most of next week at FunSpot and the internet there is spotty at best, I've decided to throw up some videos I've had on the back burner. Rather then polling the audience...because every time it turns up as a tie I decided to go the most logical route and flip a coin to see which one four videos I had finished would go up and here's your winner!

So from the back catalog of videos we're going back to October when I visited the Pinball Hall of Fame in Las Vegas! Today we're checking out Bally's classic from 1979, You wanted the best, you got the best! The hottest band in the world.....KISS!! This game is still super popular with KISS fans and pinball players alike. It's got a great art package that just screams 70's pinball. But that's one of the things that keeps this down as being a really good game is that it plays like a 70's pinball.

There just isn't much to do in the game. You want to try to complete the K.I.S.S rollovers on the top to score the "Colossal Bonus" while hitting the KISS member drop targets and the A,B,C,D targets as well. That's it. Since it's a 70's game there really isn't any modes but it's sad that the game lacks some different scoring opportunities that others games had at the time. If you look at Evel Knievel next to KISS it's got  lights that you need to score the CYCLE bonus. That just doesn't happen in KISS.

There's been a lot of talk about a new KISS machine for a few years now. I've seen concept art from a smaller company trying to make a new KISS game. People are thinking since Stern's been knocking it out of the park with their past Metallica and AC/DC machines that maybe KISS could be in the works. I guess we'll have to wait and see!
