Polybius is one of the most notorious urban legends in the arcade world. The story goes that back in 1981 in locations around Portland, Oregon the game randomly appeared. Players began feeling psychological effects due to Polybius. From the Wikipedia article:
players [were] suffering from amnesia, night terrors, and a tendency to stop playing all video games. Around a month after its supposed release in 1981, Polybius is said to have disappeared without a trace.
Skip ahead 36 years to Hulu's trailer for their upcoming sci-fi anthology show Dimension 404 and we get a nice teaser for a Polybius centric episode! Below are some screen shots from the trailer. We will definitely be checking out the show on April 4th.
