Do want! Deathsmiles limited edition comes out June 29th!

When it comes to April 1st, I usually stay far away from the internet. Too many people fall for jokes hook, line and sinker. Even way back when EGM had the infamous Shen Long article I knew it was too good to be true. Hell, I remember watching a guy at a local arcade that took the article with him to the arcade and stormed out of the place with it crumpled up in his hand.

Well, thankfully this isn't a joke and it's 100% awesome. As I posted before I was excited that Aksys Games would be brining Death Smiles to North America. They even promoted the game at last weekend's PAXEast and even some cosplayers came dressed as the characters from the games.

Today Aksys Games announced a special limited edition set for Death Smiles that will be released on June 29th. This pack will include the game with the DLC, Mega Black Label already on the disk, an arranged CD soundtrack album and a special Xbox 360 faceplate that you can only get in this pack! All of this, for only 50 bucks! Considering how many of the Special Edition CAVE games with Faceplates and soundtracks usually sell for over 100 bucks this is one hell of a deal. As of now they don't have it available for pre-order, but I'll be watching Amazon.com like a hawk for when they will open preorders.

I will do a full review when the game comes out and I'm also trying to get the video and text review for Mushi out, but unfortunatlly for me my 360 got the dredded Red Ring of Death last night. So it's in a box waiting to be shipped to Texas to be fixed. So much for trying to practice for Super Street Fighter IV at the end of the month. :(

Well that's it for today, have a good one.

  1. I must admit that I thought this was Arcade Hunters' April Fools joke. Forget it, I'm "all in!"

YES! This will be the first time in a long while that I will make a "Day 1 Confirmed" purchase. Or sooner if that Amazon preorder shows up.

  2. As I said, I hate April Fools and the internet. So when I saw this I was taken back, till I read the news on their site that it wasn't a joke. But they do have a joke version of a special edition that comes with angel wings and whip.
