The Addams Family...IN COLOR!

Last weekend 2600 went down to the third largest arcade in the world, The Pinball Wizard's Arcade in New Hampshire! If you've been following us on Twitter, he's been posting a few photos from his trip. While he was there he checked out the new Color DMD of the classic, The Addams Family. Color DMD's have been hitting it big and making quite the impression. This simple to install kit will replace your game's current DMD screen with a brand new one that displays in color. Just swap the old DMD out and put the new one in and your good to go. The best part is you don't need to swap any of your game's ROM chips in order to play. In the case of The Addams Family, it will work with Addams Family Gold ROMs as well as normal versions of the game. As of now these are the current games that have Color DMD's.

They also showcased two new models at the Texas Pinball Festival. Whitewater and The Twilight Zone will also be getting Color DMD's.

If you'd like to know more about Color DMD you can check them out at the website below. Each Color DMD is designed for each game, so you can't swap them between machines. The current price for each replacement DMD is 400 dollars, which is a bit steep. Their also all sold out on all four of their current games they have, but you can sign up for a mailing list to know when they come back in stock.
