On a trip back up north I decided to take a rest stop at Playland in Rye, NY. This happened to be the opening weekend for the season. I was able to do a walkthrough video of the arcades located in Playland (as well as ride the Dragon Coaster).
I have been to Playland a couple of times over the years and so far every visit to their arcades has been positive. The pinball on hand is well maintained. On this trip however, one of the arcades located on the boardwalk was closed due to hurricane Sandy hitting the area pretty hard. Some cool trivia, the following scene from the movie "Big" where Tom Hanks is searching for Zoltar was shot at Playland on the boardwalk:
