Rabbit Themed Arcade Games for Easter!

Even if you’re not religious, Easter offers some fun spring themed activities; themed candy, pastel colored eggs, the Easter Beagle, and of course rabbits in arcade games! Here are some of our top rabbit themed games.

*All flyers in this article came from The Arcade Flyer Archive*

Rabio Lepus

Rabio Lepus is a great shmup that we have included for Easter numerous times. It is essentially a side scrolling shmup with robot rabbits. We are showing the Japanese flyer and name because when it was released locally we got this....

JackRabbit

If time permits, we will post a clip of the crazy 80’s digital speech from the title of this game. Essentially a video game version with characters from the Br’er Rabbit cartoon segment from Disney’s Song of the South traveling through woods, deserts, and even a tropical island! Jackrabbit is an isometric game where you control Jackrabbit (a knock off of Disney’s Br’er Rabbit) and try to eat carrots while weasels (a knock off of Br’er Bear and Br’er Fox) chase after you. I am guessing either this game slid under Disney’s radar due to not being very popular, or Disney was still being quiet about their movie Song of the South.

Bucky O’Hare

“Let’s croak is some toads!” Bucky O’Hare was a mini phenomenon. Originally a comic, it was later branched out into a cartoon, a toy line, and even video games. All of this was riding on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle wave. Konami luckily got the license and created another great beat’em up with a touch of run and gun. If you can track they arcade game down, definitely give it a play!

Thank you for reading about some rabbit themed arcade games! Be sure to check back next week!
