Arcade Game Review Sky Diver

This week we are taking a quick look at Atari's Skydiver from 1978. Sky Diver is a simple, fun game that that has some electro mechanical elements to it. You control the game with a metal parachute pull handle style mechanism. This is used for both releasing your parachute, and guiding your character left and right as they float down. There are also letters that light up on the cabinet that relate to what you are doing in the game. If you want to play Sky Diver at home there's a port of the game on the Atari 2600 VCS. You can also pick up the fairly recent Atari Flashbacks Collection that includes both the arcade version and the Atari 2600 VCS version of Sky Diver.
